Claiming Your Listing on Google Places, the First Step to the First Page of Google

To claim your business's Google Places listing is as easy
as filling our  a form on Google.

1)Go to: www.google.com/local/add/businessCenter
This will take you to a Login box.

If you do not have a Gmail account
you will need to sign up for one.
Red button top right - Signup

Do your Keyword research so you can use
the best keywords in your business name and Email url
For Example: Don@LocalOnlineMarketingBC.ca

When you pick a name for your new Google account
be sure it includes your business name.

EXamples; LocalOnlineMarketingBC@gmail.com
or Don@LocalOnlineMarketing.ca

Notice that the first letter in every word is Capitalized
Do this in your URL too. EX. LocalOnlineMarketingBC.ca

2) Or put Google Places in the search bar.
It will take you to the Getting Started Page.

Once there; It's like filling in a form.

Once you have it all filled in
Request a pin number.

By phone if they give you that option,
they will phone your business number
some one must be there to answer
and recieve the pin number.

If by mail they sent a letter to your business address
with the pin.

After adding pin your listing should appear shortly.

We have a Google Places 's listing
Go there and lookin the upper right hand corner
If the listing has been claimed it will say
Own-verified listing  >>> http://tinyurl.com/7mtvuay
